Vintage "Midget Monitor Radio for sale in Dayton, Ohio

$55

Midget Monitor Radio that you could get as a kid--in the '50's, as a promotion for some General Mills cereal. Still in the original Box from General Mills, Inc., (623 Marquette Ave. SO, Minneapolis 2, Minn). It's a small crystal-type radio made by the Hearever Company. Kids that had these would run around the house and yard clipping the alligator clip to various pieces of metal, sliding the brass "antenna" up and down, and actually being able to hear some radio stations through the earpiece. The fact that there was no battery and that the device appeared simply to pluck sound out of the air seemed like magic to an elementary school kid.*** This one is new with the wires still wrapped around the cardboard shipping cards. *** This is in the original General Mills box.
